Failed Registration Details/solutions

I think I am doubling up here, though this may help new members that don't receive the activation email.
Fail failed registrations member membership solution sign up

New members activation
New members please note:
Please read all below!

Your Membership must be activated!
Ater you have finished the sign up process, an email is sent to the email address you registered with, yes this email is important, so please check your junk mail spam or unwanted mail folders straight after you have finished the sign up process, (eg. click send receive, get mail etc, or refresh the page for webmail eg. Hotmail etc. I know that Hotmail (Hotmail sucks!) will send the activation email to your Junk mail folder, so check it please, (also while you're at it, tell hotmail that this email is not junk!) the email is sent to you straight away, guaranteed.

If you did not get this email then you are not checking your junk mail folders *guaranteed. New Members that do not activate their membership are classed as *Inactive*, inactive users will be deleted after 7 days, you will have to go through the sign-up process again if this happens, if you still want to be a member!

I have created a forum topic for failed registrations if you don't get the activation email I usually get a returned error message of what has happened. Please check the forum topic below

Failed Registrations look here you may find a solution

If by some chance the email is slower getting there it is purely a server issue nothing more, the email does get sent to the address you signed up with, if you don't get it, it is an issue at your end not an issue with OzMS automatic mail out, well there could be but this is extremely rare! Once you get this email there is a link you have to click that will activate your account, but why you ask? To stop spammers signing up as anonymous and spreading there evil! If you do not activate your account you are not a member yet, so it must be done!

Also if you have a need to contact me, use this address admin at ozms dot org once again, I always get around to answering emails even if at times I am slack doing it. What really discourages me is when I type a page of instructions addressing your problems/issues I never get a reply and people just give up trying to have things resolved! *My guess is once again the email I have sent you is ending up in your junk mail folder never to be seen again. This is easy to fix, add admin at ozms dot org to your friends list so mail can be received from that address, other wise Darin gets quite upset, after writing up this page of instructions, that never gets seen or acted upon.

Do I particularly want to be your friend, not necessarily, no, but for the purpose of getting answers to your questions, this is what you have to do lol. If you follow these instructions you will have an easy sign up process, instead of going away with the thought that "no one cares" at OzMS.

Cheers and good luck with your MS!

I will add to this page as issues arise and also see if a cluey windows user can write some info up about Outlook express, Microsoft Outlook and the webmail based email clients. (I use Linux) I have very few of these kinds of issues.

These links could come in handy too Website General, Website Features
You will note that these instructions come up often, in FAQs I have written, yet they still seem to be ignored.
