Chat Room information
Chat times:- The main chat room time is on wednesday nights at 7.30pm
Q.Why this time?
A. Mainly because whatever day/night you choose will not suit everyone and no one objected to this time or suggested another time.
Q. Can we chat at anytime?
A. Yes of course, but please note, it is far better to pick a time and let it be known that people will actually be there at that time, if you say you will be there at a certain time, then please, make sure you actually turn up!
Q.Where will I discuss with others about having another chat time?

Q. Why is no one in the chat room other than the specified organised weekly time?
A. This Community is nearing 300 members (27/9/06) at this time, by all accounts there are only about 50 active members, with some people signing up and never returning, why I have no idea, I get absoluetly no feedback from these members, if you have any issues or problems please contact Admin by the contact us form or PM (private message) me. Guaranteed I will do my best to sort out any issue you have! If no one gives feedback you are right things will never change!
The shoutbox is a place for a quick chat or just to say hi on the main page of OZMS. Its not what you would call a Advanced featured Chat room. If you want to find out when the last entry to the shoutbox was made place your cursor over the 'shouters' name and a small pop-up will show up, saying what time they 'shouted'. Note: the shoutbox is disabled at the moment, it may reappear in the future!
The link to the Chat Room is in the Main Menu, this new Chat Room is off the site and you do not have to sign in to it, though you do have to be signed in to see the link in the Main Menu. Chat rooms are very resource intensive on the server that this site resides on, in fact many hosts will not allow Chat rooms on their servers at all.
Update
I managed to configure button that allows us to see how many chatters (gabbers) are in the room. This button which is on the front page also opens the chat room in a full sized browser window, this could be very handy for people who suffer from poor vision.
A full size window allows you to Increase the text size of the room to a very large size from your browser and doesn't have the menu links and what not that the "small room" which is accessed from the "Participate Menu" Chat room link.
When you enter the Chat Room you will be logged in as gabber(number here), change this by entering your name or user name in the field provided and hit the change button, do not use the login button, as this is not applicable. Please use your user name or your own name, logging in with funny names is funny for about 1 minute, after that the novelty wears off, if you do want to log in with a funny name please have the courtesy to make yourself known to others.
This will enable us to know whether we have some outside dickhead in the room who is purely in there to cause trouble or you are a genuine chatter. Make no mistake although I can't kick people out I will not hesitate to shut the Chat room down if necessary it will take me about 10 seconds to do and you will upset many of the genuine people who are there to chat to other MSers, who look forward to this chat every week!
