Summary: Please read these rules/guidlines to make your stay on OzMS a pleasant one. These Rules are considered guidelines they really are just common sense, they become rules that are enforced when some one shows disregard, for the spirit in which they have been made. Please read!
Any person has the right to make statement or opinion as long as it is not offensive, abusive or intentionally hurtful, also, under no circumstances shall anyone partake in the spamming of this site of any kind. Any post may be deleted at the discretion of the forum moderators / administrators / Webmaster or Owner.
Any personal attacks will not be tolerated. If any person feels they have been unfairly treated by another person please let a moderator / admin member know so that the matter can be dealt with.
Repeated offences will be discussed by moderators and may at the moderators discretion result in a user being deleted from the forum and any feature of OzMS and in extreme cases banned from the site completely.
Please help keep this forum a fun and educational, family accessible and viewed web space and keep in mind that it is a public Forum open to the world for all to see and judge us on how we act.
Inappropriate avatars will not be tolerated. Avatars that depict racism, sexism, cruelty (to humans or animals) are prime examples. Avatars that have bits of human anatomy waving are deemed inappropriate (male or female)...
Also the substitution of letters with ** etc will not be accepted and can be edited or deleted by the moderator. Banned words are in a list and filtered out please do not try and circumvent this with trying to get around the filter! Banned words will automatically be replaced with the word "oops" If a post has so many "oops" in it and it's no longer legible it may be deleted as we know you are angry and frustrated.
Sexual related posting/jokes etc should be mild so as to not offend other members.
Of course if someone has a genuine question about sexual dysfunction, that is a result of having Multiple Sclerosis, then please be sensible and treat it as it is, a serious condition!
Posting off Topic or hijacking a Forum topic is not allowed, your post will be deleted, there is nothing wrong with elaborating on a Topic, though if you are starting to go off on another tangent please create a New Topic in the relevant Category. This is to ensure that people using the site Search feature get the relevant information required.
Please always be aware that the advice or support that is offered by Members is just that, eg. Members own experiences, please discuss anything that others may suggest with a GP or Neurologist. The views of Individual Members is not necessarily those of the Moderators or Administrators of OzMS.
If you are not sure about something or what content you can post please contact a Moderator or Administrator of OzMS.
*The Moderators and Administrators of OzMS reserve the right to review these rules and make adjustments, if and when needed, without notice.* Note: this also applies to the "Registration Disclaimer" that you agree to in the "registration process" for joining this site.
*Adjustments to these rules will be listed below this, however everything on this "rules and guidelines" page is included unless deleted.*
1. The posting of images that offend will from now on cause the whole post to be deleted. I have a broad range of people from different backgrounds who are moderators, one moderator may find something funny but if another of the moderators finds something offensive they have every right to delete the image in question, to make things easier they will just delete the whole post, they don't get paid, so please don't make their kindness of helping this site resullt in hard work for them!
2. From now on any and all businesses of any kind will have to be approved, firstly by moderators then Admin has the final say. Yes because of recent events even charities will have to be approved. This includes any link added to any feature of this site, this also includes discussions of charities or any business that sees it self as charitable. The bottom line is that they must be recognized by the relevant authorities to have all the paperwork in order to be classed as a charity, there will be no exceptions to this rule.
2a. Members may add a link to a family business to their signature, but in no way should this be discussed on this site, we do not allow members to post repeatedly to keep their signature in the forum for instance. It's a link to their business as a favour for being a member of OzMS, that's all it is. If replies on the forum are helpful and relevant to the topic being discussed and members in general then this is fine, but please don't take advantage of OzMS kindness.
3. Absolutely no Multi-Level Marketing product will be discussed on OzMS, they will be deleted immediately, no ifs or buts. If it can't be purchased over the counter at a reputable Health Food Shop, then it does not exist. Therefore, no use discussing it.
Please note spamming this site in anyway by any member will result in instant deletion of that persons account membership, if you are not sure about something, don't do it and ask first. After all it's only courtesy.
Also Copyright applies to the content on this site, copying and pasting OzMS content to another website or Domain is forbidden, unless written permission is obtained from the Owner/webmaster/admin and the author of of posted content.
*Once again any rules on this page can be amended at any time, so please check this page regularly to see if adjustments have been made.*Note: this also applies to the "Registration Disclaimer" that you agree to in the "registration process" for joining this site.
